In my opinion this song is calling for a string arrangement. I arranged it in my notation-software "Sibelius". I think an arrangement should alter the original to fit better to the desired instrumentation. Therefore I have altered the melody-lines and I have reharmonised parts of the chorus. I have also accented some rhythmic motifs with ensemble-sections, especially at the end. If you study this Led Zeppelin song and others that deep you discover many little details. In fact my admiration for Led Zeppelin is rising again since I do this cover-serial on Youtube.
The next song will be "Stairway to heaven". I thought about to arrange "Stairway" and not "The battle of evermore" for string quartet, but I think, that there are already enough arrangements of "Stairway", so you can expect a band-cover.
